Men's Soccer (4-3-3, 0-0 WSC)
Yesterday under the lights, the Moorpark men's soccer team battled to a 3-3 drawn against Glendale in the final non-league contest of the fall. The Raiders wasted no time putting up a crooked number as Troy Mishkanian scored 55 seconds into the game. Glendale matched the score at the 6:44 mark and took a 2-1 lead six minutes later. Alex Bosnac found teammate Adrian Nunez for an equalizing goal in the 14th minute and the teams would go into halftime locked up at 2-2. Bosnac added a goal of his own in the middle of the second period and the Raiders maintained the advantage until the 88th minute when Glendale again knotted the score. Regulation wound down without anyone finding the back of the net, leaving the scoreboard reading 3-3. MC controlled play, peppering the Glendale goal with 12 shots on goal.
The tie marks the third of the season for MC. The Raiders will have a bye week to rest, recover and gear up for Western State Conference play, which begins on Friday, Oct. 10 when Moorpark hosts Oxnard for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff. Both live stats and live video are both available.
