Women’s Volleyball Clinches Share of WSC North Title
Raiders finish 10-2 to share crown
MOORPARK, Calif. (Nov. 12, 2025) – How sweep it was at Raider Pavilion on Nov. 5, as the Moorpark College women's volleyball team defeated Cuesta 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-18) to ultimately earn a share of the Western State Conference (WSC) title after falling in the regular season finale to finish 10-2 in league play this fall.
Frontrunner candidate for most of the season, Santa Barbara was upended in a 3-2 decision in favor of Moorpark during homecoming week and fell again at the hands of Ventura (3-1) on Oct. 31, helping MC to climb the standings. Unfortunately, the Raiders stumbled on Nov. 7 at LA Mission dropping a shot at an outright title. That, coupled with Santa Barbara's win in the final match of the regular season, landed the Raiders finished in a first-place tie.
On Sophomore Night (Nov. 4), Moorpark looked to Olivia Campisi for 13 kills on a night that she hit .478, Daylin Saiki for 34 assists and Mia Paculan and Kaylin Currie for 12 and 10 digs, respectively, against Cuesta. Natsune Makino added four service aces.
Campisi, Paculan, Ela Lagatutta and Ashley Rojas suited up in the Blue and White for the final time at home in the regular season. Lagatutta notched a pair of aces in the win.
With the regular season wrapped up, the teams will play in the 2025 WSC Crossover tonight, Nov. 14. Moorpark will be pitted against the College of the Canyons for a 6:00 p.m. first serve on the road.
The Raiders (20-8, 10-2 WSC) will find out their Postseason fate over the weekend as a 3C2A State Championship run begins on Saturday, Nov. 22.
