Women’s Golf Places Second at Final WSC Round
Aparicio paces Raiders in highest finish of season
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2025) – The Moorpark women's golf team turned in its highest finish of the season today at the Western State Conference (WSC) #7 match hosted at the Rio Bravo Golf Course in Bakersfield. The Raiders combined to shoot a 355, second only to College of the Canyons (346).
Leading the way for MC today was Kalia Aparicio whose round of 76 was also tied for second individually. She has shot in the 70s a trio of other times this season with her season low-round of 73 coming on Sept. 29 in the WSC #5 hosted by Citrus on a day when she tied for the individual top spot.
Savannah Fryhoff was the second scorer for MC with an 88 followed by Ali Muncy with a 90. Closing out the scoring rounds for Moorpark today was Ricille Casino with a 101.
With all regular season rounds in the books, the women's golf team looks forward to competing in the two-day Western State Conference Championships on Oct. 26-27. The teams will play Cypress Ridge GC in Arroyo Grande, Calif. on Sunday before moving over to Santa Maria Country Club for the final round of action on Monday. Tee times will be at 11:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., respectively.
WSC Championships kicks off a week of Homecoming festivities on campus for the Raiders. The week will culminate with all student-athletes being recognized at halftime of the football game, which is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Golfing continues with the 3C2A Southern California Championships on Nov. 9-10 right in our backyard at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura, Calif. All tee times are TBD.
