Tolliver Takes Home Most Outstanding Player, Lising Tabbed as Defensive Player of the Year
Women’s basketball lands five on All-WSC Teams
MOORPARK, Calif. (Feb. 27, 2026) – At the conclusion of the regular season, the Western State Conference (WSC) North released its 2025-26 All-WSC awards and honors. After guiding the Moorpark College women's basketball team to an undefeated season in WSC play, Maleyni Tolliver was selected as the WSC Most Outstanding Player and Hannah Lising reeled in Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Additionally, each was recognized on the First Team All-WSC with teammates Alyssa Saldana and Keilani Peralta also landing on the First Team with Dayzia Mendoza being named Honorable Mention.
Tolliver, a 2025 Honorable Mention honoree, was a standout all season and shined in league play with 16.5 points per game (428 points) on a 164-for-298 showing, which is a shooting percentage of 58.4 and 7.2 rebounds per game (188 rebounds). The sophomore added 38 assists, 17 steals and 14 blocks as she logged exactly 700 minutes of action. Her presence on both ends of the court was instrumental in the team success this season.
Lising led the team with 87 assists (3.8 apg) and 63 steals (2.7 SPG) and was second in rebounding with 156 (6.8 rpg). Offensively, she shot 46.4 percent from the field, pouring in 11.7 points per game (268 points) in 27.7 minutes per game and was instrumental in the success of the squad this winter.
A year ago, Saldana was recognized as the 6th Woman of the Year by the WSC and garnered First Team All-WSC. In her sophomore season, she played 25.1 minutes per game and scored 12.6 points per game (226 points) on 45.8 percent shooting while also adding 72 assists, 69 rebounds, 27 steals and six blocks for MC.
Peralta put up strong three-point-shooting numbers, knocking down 78-for-195 to shoot 40 percent from long range en route to averaging 13.7 points per game overall (356 points). She also went 81.3 percent at the free-throw line for the Raiders. Peralta pulled down 73 rebounds, adding 67 assists, 23 steals and a pair of blocks. She logged a team-leading 884 minutes, which equates to 34 minutes per game.
Finally, Mendoza was a force in her freshman campaign, finishing with 167 points (6.4 ppg), 103 rebounds (4.0 rpg), 49 assists, 28 steals and eight blocks to lock up Honorable Mention recognition from the conference.
Moorpark (25-3) lifted its seventh straight WSC title in 2026 and was selected as the No. 3 seed for the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) State Championship Tournament, which will begin tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 28, for the Raiders.
Riding a 14-game win-streak entering the postseason, MC will host No. 19 Bakersfield College in the Second Round of the Southern California Regional portion of the bracket. Teams will tip off at 7:00 p.m. inside of Raider Pavilion.
Admission prices are $12 for adults (13+) and $8 for students, faculty, staff, senior citizens, military veterans and children (5-12).
