Raiders Clinch Seventh Straight WSC North Title
Women’s basketball undefeated in league play at 12-0
MOORPARK, Calif. (Feb. 20, 2026) – Tonight, the women's basketball team claimed its seventh consecutive Western State Conference (WSC) North title, marking the fourth straight season in which the Raiders finished league play 12-0.
The Raiders WSC win-streak spans 52 games with its last league hiccup dating back to Feb. 9, 2022. Additionally, since Feb. 3, 2018, the women's basketball team has produced an 82-1 WSC record.
Tonight was more of the same winning ways the program has become accustomed to with a 58-40 victory over LA Mission College.
On a night when four sophomores, Hannah Lising, Keilani Peralta, Alyssa Saldana and Maleyni Tolliver, were honored prior to tip-off, the senior group guided the team as each reached double figures in her final regular season home game.
Saldana scored on the opening possession and the Raiders never looked back. Moorpark opened a 16-11 lead after the first quarter and built up a 31-19 advantage at the intermission. In the third quarter, the Blue and White increased its lead to 52-30 and the fourth was slow, but a big block from Ava Yazdandoost led to a Rhema Clements layup for the final points of the night.
Tolliver led the team with 13 points, followed by 12 from Lising, 11 from Saldana and 10 from Peralta. Tolliver added a game-high nine rebounds and Lising finished with seven. Dayzia Mendoza supplied four assists and Lising and Saldana had three apiece.
With the win, Moorpark (25-3, 12-0 WSC) now awaits its fate for the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) postseason. The First Round will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at a time and location to be determined. The seeding meeting will take place on Sunday and more information will be shared as it becomes available.
