MOORPARK, Calif. (March 12, 2026) – The Western State Conference (WSC) opener for Moorpark College softball went to the home team when the Raiders cruised to a 15-7 victory over Cuesta before MC posted back-to-back wins over Santa Monica and Oxnard to start with a solid 3-0 showing.
On March 5, the Raiders rallied back from a 7-3 deficit to earn the five-inning, 15-7 win. Abrianna Ramirez singled in Aryanne Munoz before Furnace drove in Lily Kougher. Kailey Greene's single drove in Furnace and Morgan Casillas connected for a three-run homerun, plating Greene, Isarrararas and herself to end the game.

Danielle Shinko went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a pair of runs while both Morales and Abrianna Ramirez each collected two hits with Morales adding two runs and two RBIs in the win.
At Oxnard on Thursday afternoon, Moorpark took an early 1-0 lead before exploding for seven runs in the fourth frame to secure an 8-2 win despite a couple runs scored late in the fifth and sixth by Oxnard. Casillas went 3-for-4 with a trio of RBIs and Munoz doubled and drove in two. Morales threw a complete game, scattering five hits while striking out five, to improve to 7-2 on the season.
