Raiders Rise Past Dons on Homecoming
Moorpark wins fourth straight with shutout
MOORPARK, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2025) – In the final event of Homecoming Week at Moorpark College, the Raiders gave the community something to cheer extra about with a 30-0 shutout of Mt. SAC tonight inside Griffin Stadium.
The offense started fast when Ethan Lasecla rushed for an eight-yard touchdown in the first minute of the game to score the ultimate game winner to cap off a seven-play, 63-yard drive. Quarterback Sirawn Evans and Ben'tre Worthy connected for a 57-yard completion to set up the play. MC added a 27-yard field goal from Valentino Lara to complete the first quarter scoring.
Moorpark went on to score twice in the second period on a 26-yard Jude Hooks touchdown from Evans and a 30-yard interception returned for a touchdown from Luke Peffer, which pushed the advantage to 23-0 at the intermission.
Out of halftime, scoring was slower and penalties were greater, but the Raiders hung on for the shutout while adding one more TD, which came from Oliver Ortiz with just under eight minutes remaining in regulation.
The home squad teamed up for 348 yards of total offense. Evans finished 18-for-32 for 278 yards and a pair of TDs. Angel Urban was a top target with five completions, his longest catch marked at 18 yards. Ryan Yenokian was a dual-threat, contributing 31 yards on the ground and collecting two catches for 51 yards to total 82 yards. Ja'Tyrian Moore added a trio of catches for 56 combined yards. Lara connected for 3-for-4 PATs on the night.
Joining Pfeffer with interceptions tonight were Brett Bouldin, Alan Gbee and Shyne Kalilikane. Bouldin ended the game with a pick that he nearly took back for another TD, but came up just short after the incredible 90-yard return as time expired. Nolan Story stood out with 10 tackles, including six solo stops and one sack. Evan Watts was almost into double figures as well with nine tackles and he added a pair of sacks.
Moorpark (5-4, 4-2 NNC) has just one more regular season game in 2025. Next Saturday, Nov. 8, the Raiders host Long Beach at Griffin Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
Box Score: MC 30, Mt. SAC 0
