Softball (6-6, 0-0 WSC)
Rain in February forced some schedule changes and the Moorpark College softball team played to a doubleheader split against Riverside on Feb. 24 defeating the Tigers 7-6, before falling 5-4.
In the 7-5 win, the Raiders rallied late to score six runs in the bottom of the fifth and staved off a comeback bid by RCC in the top of the seventh. Morales (5-2) earned the victory in the circle, throwing 7.0 innings, and striking out seven.
The Raiders have played five one-run games this spring to date and MC came out on top a trio of times. Through preseason play, MC is batting .352 as a team with 86 runs in 12 games.
