Nicole Rietveld and Clarissa Wentworth qualified in the 3,000m steeplechase. Both posted season bests. Rietveld finished 4th in a time of 11:29 while Wentworth finished 5th in a time of 11:32. Kayla Lindquist cleared the high jump bar at 5’3″ to place 5th. Patrick Smith set a personal best in the shot put to place 3rd with a throw of 51′ 1.75″. Megan McNally qualified in both the 5,000m and 10,000m races. McNally ran 39:22 in the 10k to finish 7th and then 18:10 in the 5k to place 3rd. Niko Althaus placed 7th in the pole vault and advances to the state meet. Alexis Pichardo will also advance in the 10,000 meters.
State championship meet will be held Friday and Saturday at Cerritos College.
