Sophomore pitcher Michael Coates pitched a complete game to lead the Raiders past Ventura College Tuesday afternoon game at VC. The Raider win combined with a SBCC victory over Cuesta put Moorpark back into a tie for 1st place with two games remaining.
Mark Fitzgerald had the key hit for the Raiders, a two run double in the top of the 8th inning to put the Moorpark ahead for good. They went on to win 5-3. Brady Conlan had three hits for the Raiders who will take on Allan Hancock at Moorpark, Thursday at 2:30 pm.
With the suspension of baseball, MC would like to invite former coaches and players to attend the final home game. Alums should report to press box prior to the game with their name and years played at MC, so they can be recognized.
