For the second time in three days the Raiders baseball team defeated Santa Barbara City College at Moorpark, this time by a final score of 4-2.
Zach Mercer started and got the win pitching 7 1/3 innings and allowing two earned runs. Michael Coates pitched the rest of the way to earn the save. The Raiders played errorless defense behind the fine pitching efforts. Aaron Martinez had two hits, and Martin Orozco put down a successful RBI squeeze bunt for the Raiders.
They are now 7-5 in the WSC and in 2nd place. They will host Pasadena City College on Wednesday afternoon beginning at 2:30 pm at Moorpark.
